Goal: Fellowship, Accountability and Growing Toward Maturity

Purpose: To deepen relationships with other men/women of the Gospel Community by connecting Scripture to our lives. At times, this means reflecting on quiet times, sharing about close relationships, applying the sermon to our lives today, and/or praying for one another. Since this time is just men/women, it offers a unique opportunity to share more personally to be known and let others care for you.

The following questions that can be used each time, though can be moved through if there is nothing on anyone’s heart. As the leader, you could also pose all three questions and they can choose which one would be the most strategic for them to answer.

• How is your quiet time? (What are you reading? Has there been consistency, joy?)
• Are there any wins or struggles to share in regard to close relationship? (Parenting, friendships, marriage, work, etc. that are appropriate to talk about without gossip?)
• Is there anything you would want the group to know? (This could be sin struggles, prayer requests, family updates, etc.)

You can then pray together for these things. If there is time remaining, you can discuss the sermon with the goal of making application to our lives today. You could use the sermon guides from church or simply ask “What was helpful to you about the sermon/text and why?”
